Tip: If your wood beads have large holes, try stringing 2-3 size 11 or smaller seed beads onto the head pin to fit inside the bead hole*. Works great to eliminate wobble! When connecting leaf links pay attention to front and back, and to which direction the leaf tips are pointing. 

Steps

  1. Leaf chain: use 1 oval jump ring to attach 1 silver leaf link to 1 gold leaf link, then 1 copper link to the gold. Continue connecting leaf links, repeating silver-copper-gold pattern twice more. Repeat to create second segment. Set aside.
  2. Acorn dangles: pick up 1 silver head pin and string on 1 silver scalloped bead cap, 1 wood bead (*see tip), and 1 silver acorn bead cap. At top of cap bend wire over at right angle. Use round nose pliers to form simple loop, trimming excess wire. Repeat with remaining head pins, caps and beads, matching metal finishes. Set aside.
  3. Charm dangles: open 1 round jump ring and string on 3 acorn charms - 1 silver, 1 copper and 1 gold. Close jump ring. Repeat with remaining round jump rings and charms. Set aside.
  4. Cut one 2 1/2" (12 links) length of chain.
  5. Use 1 oval jump ring to attach 1 charm dangle to first chain link. Open loop at top of 1 acorn dangle and attach to second chain link. Close loop.
  6. Repeat Step 5 five times, alternating acorn metal finishes. Attach final charm dangle to last chain link. 
  7. Use 1 oval jump ring to attach 1 leaf chain segment at 1 end of focal segment. Position so that leaf tips will point downward. Repeat at other side.
  8. Cut remaining chain in half, then use 1 oval jump ring to attach 1 segment to 1 side of necklace. Repeat at other side.
  9. Use 1 oval jump ring to attach clasp ring at 1 side of necklace. Repeat at other side with clasp bar.
