Steps

  1. Cut one 11” piece of beading wire. String one crimp bead onto end of wire. Bend wire over and thread back through crimp about 1”, creating approx. 1/8” loop. Use crimping pliers to secure.
  2. String 3 heishi, 1 tube bead, 1 heishi, 1 tube bead, 1 heishi, 1 tube bead, 3 heishi, covering tail.
  3. String one wooden bead, 3 heishi, 1 tube bead, 3 heishi.
  4. String one Double Baule Bead, 1 heishi, 1 Double Baule Bead, 1 heishi, 1 Double Baule Bead.
  5. Repeat Step 3 in reverse.
  6. Repeat Step 2 in reverse.
  7. String a crimp bead onto end of beading wire. Bend wire over and thread back through crimp and several beads, creating approx. 1/8” loop. Use crimping pliers to secure. 8
  8. Cut one 12” piece of beading wire. String one crimp bead onto end of beading wire. Bend wire over and thread back through crimp about 1”, creating approx. 1/8” loop. Use crimping pliers to secure.
  9. String 3 heishi and 1 Baule Flag Bead. Repeat twice, add 3 more heishi.
  10. String 1 Double Baule Bead and 3 heishi. Repeat twice.
  11. String 1 Baule Flag, 3 heishi, 1 wooden bead, 3 heishi, 1 Baule Flag.
  12. Repeat Step 10 in reverse.
  13. Repeat Step 9 in reverse.
  14. Repeat Step 7.
  15. On an eyepin, string 3 heishi, 1 wooden bead, and 3 heishi. At the top, carefully bend wire over at right angle. Trim wire to 3/8”. Form simple loop. Repeat.
  16. Open one jumpring and attach one end of each beaded strand and one beaded eyepin. Close jumpring. Repeat on other side of necklace
  17. Cut chain in half. Use a jumpring to attach one piece of chain to one side of necklace. Repeat on other side with second piece of chain.
  18. Use a jumpring to attach the hook to one side of the necklace and the eye to the other side of the necklace.
  19. Attach the hook anywhere along the chain to adjust necklace length.
