DIY: Using Cord Ends ~
Cord ends are versatile, fabulous components! Use them to finish seed bead and kumihimo projects, multi-strand designs, viking knit, and wide varieties of cords and other stringing materials. Several years ago we launched custom manufactured cord ends in lathe turned brass. We worked with a company that used certified lead free brass that was then plated in our TierraCast finishes.
We are now very pleased and excited to offer a selection of cast pewter cord ends in a variety of styles and sizes made right here in our shop. The beauty of this is that we are now able to produce them with attention to detail and design motifs that we hope you love!
Cord ends with loops are perfect for gluing in materials, while cord ends with a hole in them are intended for wire-wrapped finishes. Either style is also great for making ever-popular tassels! The 2mm Palace, Temple and original Pagoda cord ends can be crimped with chain nose pliers or large crimping pliers as an alternative to adhesive.
